InterBev has accrued a rich history in presenting a business platform for an ever-changing beverage industry. The American Bottlers of Carbonated Beverages, now known as the American Beverage Association, first opened its show’s doors in 1920. From the onset of soft drinks “bottled” in aluminum cans, the first diet cola, and the launch of energy drinks, InterBev has seen dramatic shifts in both industry trends and beverage chemistry. Only four years ago the US FDA approved the use of the new zero-calorie sweetener, stevia, prompting yet another steep transformation in the beverage world. With an industry outdating itself by the year, InterBev has been pushed to meet the needs of the industry in unique ways.
The most recent InterBev took place October 16-18, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In September of 2012, the international trade show organizer, NürnbergMesse, became the new owner and organizer of InterBev. The 2012 event highlighted a new product showcase and expanded the trade show and industry categories to include alcoholic beverages to the traditionally non-alcoholic event. Although the niche alcoholic sector played a minor role in 2012, NürnbergMesse provides 35 years of international alcoholic beverage experience that will serve to advance the exhibit category for the next InterBev.
With a clear direction for the future of InterBev from the NürnbergMesse management team, and a firm backing from the most recognized association in the industry, exhibitors have the opportunity to take advantage of a single platform distinctly created to bring together the best and most innovative minds in beverage. InterBev received strong backing from various media outlets including Beverage World, BevNet, and FoodBev.com, and the Coca-Cola Company and PepsiCo Global Procurement exhibited on the trade show floor. InterBev is where beverage does business. As a successful 2012 edition comes to a close, management is excited to venture the path to the next show. InterBev has the media support, the association and industry support, and the international trade show management expertise to unify an ever-changing and ever-growing dynamic beverage industry.
